[edit]

The references in the article to Malachi and Zechariah read אלֹהִים [Elohim] but the MSS read יהוה [YHVH].50.4.5.123 (talk) 16:11, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Subjective Bias Within This Article

[edit]

There is blatant subjective bias in several sections of this article. For example, the NRSV New Testament comparisons are based on a Protestant perspective. I don't think this article should be used to expound Protestant theology. Please keep this in mind when modifying articles such as this one. --Gorgalore —Preceding comment was added at 13:48, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah it just looks like poop 66.31.65.132 (talk) 06:26, 11 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs some citations/references. Everything below the "Period" section looks like original research. Misterniceguy (talk) 15:09, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion

[edit]

I couldn't help but notice that my revised and expanded entry for the book of Malachi was reverted. The version I attempted to use cited the old version as a reference (the 100+ year old Easton's Bible Dictionary) and added a great deal more information.

Was there something specifically wrong with my update which necessitated its entire removal? --Jdstrgh 08:19, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I argree!
I thought the new article was good and was a needed update of a 100 year old BIble Dictionary --John Campbell 12:48, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Good. I have changed it back. JFW | T@lk 14:07, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Thanks. I realize that people change this quite often...and not always for the better. It'd good to see people are keeping their eyes on it! --John Campbell 16:15, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

The parallels

[edit]

Some of the parallels don’t appear direct, some of them are only comparable in their wordplay. Bagabondo (talk) 08:23, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs a lot of help

[edit]

Just a note that this article needs a lot of help. It has no modern scholarship on the book. IncandescentBliss (talk) 00:39, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
